Requirements
Anyone wishing to Join SCSAR must first complete a background check through Sterling Volunteers. To request your background check, please click the link below. In addition to passing the background check, one must also complete the following course prerequisites:

IS-100.c - Introduction to the Incident Command System, ICS 100

IS-200.c -
-
IS 317 (Introduction to Community Emergency Response Teams) + CERT Class (provided by us)

IS-700.b An Introduction to the National Incident Management System

IS-800.d National Response Framework, An Introduction
-
CPR/First Aid or higher certification – (SCSAR will provide)

NASAR FUNSAR/SARII (SARII only required for Ground/K9 members) SCSAR will provide

Wilderness First Aid (only required for Ground/K9 members) SCSAR will provide

From the time you pass your background check, you have 1 year to complete the above requirements.
